Newbie needs Help

Hello all,

I finally got some time to install my daughter board on a raspberry 3+. I have Raspian already installed so I opted to go with "wget -q -O - razberry.z-wave.me/install | sudo bash " install method. This appeared to install ok without any problems as far as I can see.

After the install I rebooted the pi and verified that when I power up a red and green LED both come on the daughter board for about a second. I can point the login page and see my ip number:8083.

The problem I'm having is I cannot log into the web site. The weird thing is if I click on the ip link it crashes and displays an html code page that I cannot execute or read. I tried the whole thing again on a different raspberry pie that is being used for something else and it did exactly the same thing. I suspect the problem might be on the server side but I really don't know.

Maybe I am missing a step but I think I followed the directions properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I bought this daughter board new about three months ago but I have been out of town and just got to this project yesterday.

Thanks,
Jim WW

Can you show screenshots? How does it look like?

Hi, Thank you for getting back to me. Please see the attached file of the screen shot.
I got to the point on the screen shot after I ran the command line wget -q -o -http://razberry.z-wave.me/install|sudo bash. the script seems to run ok and ends saying that it started the Z-wave server. The problem occurs when I start the web browser and I type http://find.z-wave.me and I click on the IP number. Then I see what is on the screen shot. Could it be a defective Z-wave card? Are there any utilities available to test the card?

I also tried to download the z-wave SD card image. But, when I extract it, It shows one big file called auto extract. If I try to extract it again it tells me the file is corrupt. I am not sure how to flash an SD card with it. Instructions say to follow the same way to install as the raspberry OS but the raspberry OS extracts into individual files. I must be missing something here.

Again thank you for any help and advice that you can help me with. I appreciate your time.

Best,
Jim W.

Hello!

I got around the problem by using FF browser instead.

Hello Robert,

Are you referring to Firefox? I didn't know it was available for the raspberry pi yet.

Thanks,
Jim W.

Hello!

Yes I am.
I went to Menu -> Preferences -> Add / Remove Software. There I searched for Firefox and installed it.
So that part was OK. Now I am stuck on the next page which is the 8083 login page (which I just created a new post for).

Thank you Robert, I installed Fire Fox like you suggested and was able to get in!!! I will now reboot the pi and see if it lets me back in. I read your post, I'm gonna see if I get stuck there too.

Best,
Jim W.

Yes, among many other login names. My 'ID'. My 'ID/admin', 'admin/ID' and a bunch of different password. I cannot get passed the :8083 login page.
Did you have any luck?

It let me in with 'admin' as the user and the password I created using FireFox. I am trying to include a door sensor right now but it came back with 'inclusion is taking a long time to start'. I think I may have to reset the sensor to factory default. Not sure how to do that. I'll have to search the web.

Best of luck,
