Razberry INCLUSION takes a long time to start up

Post by greggy »

Hi, I just bought a razberry and I've attached it to my raspberry pi 2 model B.
I've downloaded the image for the raspberry from http://razberry.z-wave.me/index.php?id=24 and I've followed the instructions.

I'm now on the z-way software 2.2.3 and firmware 5.03. I have an Aeotec Multisensor 6 and Smart Switch 6 I would like to add, so I click Settings > Devices > (z-wave) Add new> Add new Z-wave device and identify it automatically > start inclusion.

After a while I get the message INCLUSION takes a long time to start up. From the log file z-way-server.log:

[2016-09-18 19:33:35.713] [D] [zway] SETDATA controller.data.secureInclusion = True
[2016-09-18 19:33:35.728] [zway] Adding job: Add/re-include node to network

[2016-09-18 19:33:35.740] [D] [zway] SENT ACK
[2016-09-18 19:33:35.741] [D] [zway] SETDATA controller.data.lastIncludedDevice = Empty
[2016-09-18 19:33:35.741] [D] [zway] SETDATA controller.data.lastExcludedDevice = Empty
[2016-09-18 19:33:35.741] [zway] Job 0x4a (Add/re-include node to network): Ready to add - push button on the device to be added
[2016-09-18 19:33:35.741] [D] [zway] SETDATA controller.data.controllerState = 1 (0x00000001)
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.872] [zway] Removing job: Add/re-include node to network
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.872] [zway] Adding job: Add/re-include node to network
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.877] [D] [zway] SENDING (cb 0x00): ( 01 05 00 4A 05 00 B5 )
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.879] [D] [zway] RECEIVED ACK
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.879] [zway] Job 0x4a (Add/re-include node to network): Stop done
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.879] [D] [zway] Job 0x4a (Add/re-include node to network): success
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.879] [zway] Removing job: Add/re-include node to network
[2016-09-18 19:34:05.879] [D] [zway] SETDATA controller.data.controllerState = 0 (0x00000000)

So, I don't see any error, but neither do I see any of the 2 devices I have.
I have been reading that it can be that the Razberry is a USA one, not EU. How can I check this? Under Network > Control, there is written: Current frequency: EU. (I'm living in the EU)

I've also seen that this error occurs when you don't have a valid license. Is a license included by default in the razberry?

Is there a way to somehow check raw data from the command line to see that the controller is really doing something?

Thanks a lot,
Gregory

Ok, so for the Multisensor it comes down to RTFM :-) I didn't push the "action button" on the sensor. While it is automatically configuring it, you might get the message "You must to wake up the device to complete the inclusion." To overcome this, you need to press the action button again and again until the 100% is reached.

For the Smart Switch however, I can't get it configured (still the same message "INCLUSION takes a long time to start up") even when pushing the action button. There is a warning included that it runs on Z-wave plus. As far as I know, the plus variant is backwards compatible, no?

Kind regards,
Gregory
