RaZberry v2 firmware stuck at 05.27

Post by nicolaevladescu »

Hi.

I have a RaZberry v2 EU daughter board mounted on a raspberry pi 2 model b.

I am using the ZMESerialUpdater tool to upgrade my firmware, but although the update gives no errors, the serial api version remains stuck at 05 27.

I have tried so far with the following firmware files: https://service.z-wave.me/expertui/uzb/ ... all&uuid=1 and https://service.z-wave.me/expertui/uzb/ ... all&uuid=1

Anybody got any suggestions or facing the same problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I just wanted to raise the same question here. :-)

I'm on bootloader 8aaa and firmware 5.27. I'm able to downgrade to 5.26 for example but I don't find a way to get to a higher firmware. I am also using ZMESerialUpdater which gives me no error during updates to a higher firmware - but after the update just 5.27 shows up.

Any suggestions of anyone to this behavior?

If your version of RaZberry was 5.27 (from factory), we don't suggest to upgrade. Blue variant on stock 5.27 might have an issue during upgrade.

Hi.

I am also on bootloader 8aaa.

Ok so just to clarify, if we do have the "blue variant" we are stuck at this firmware version, and we may never upgrade, correct?

Also, can you give more info on how to tell if we do have this "blue variant", are you talking about the actual color of the board, etc. ?

I need to know if i will throw it in the garbage or if it is still usable. Also what to expect in the future if no firmware upgrades are available ever.

Thanks

Hello @PoltoS,

according to this list https://z-wave.me/products/razberry/razberry-revisions/ I'm using this board:

Upgrade to the 5th generation Z-Wave chip Z-Wave Plus
5th gen chip ZM5202

The board was on 5.04 at the beginning. But I had trouble with it so I decided to go up to the current firmware 2.39. I then updated the bootload to 8aaa and to firmware 5.07. I think the next was 5.17 and then somehow to 5.27 because I understood I had to go via this version.

From the releases overview I understood that 5.27 is the version I have to be on to go to a higher/newer release. But I was not able to do so. Possibly I got something wrong. Could you help which release path I have to go and how that should work?

Thanks in advance.

Hi.

I have the green 2016-2018 - ZM5202 Board, i can't remember the firmware version it came with but it wasn't 5.27 for sure, i went through a couple of firmware upgrades successfully until now.

You mean giving access to remotely look onto my system by using AnyDesk, Zoom, TeamViewer or so?
