Great. Thanks. That part worked.

What do I need to do in the software to upgrade the features? The email didn't send an access token or anything obvious to be entered. And the link in the order confirmation email shows "{"error":"License not found"}"

The easy way is to download our new Zniffer tool - press +, set the port, modem mode and speed 1150200, and it will set license automatically.

Check https://z-wave.me/products/zniffer

Is there a way to do it in Z-way, or does Zniffer have a command line available? I don’t have a GUI installed and run my Pi headless.

After installing the 4.0 release candidate, I was able to select Long Range within the UI expert application, however, I need some education…

- Although I selected Long Range, I‘m still able to select different inclusion modes. Following the Z-Wave rules, Long Range should allow S2 Authenticated and Door Lock only. What am I missing?

- Long Range inclusion is selected by the Controller only. How does the Controller UI display weather Z-Wave Long Range or Z-Wave Standard was used for inclusion?

Thank you.

You need to request a license (see above in the thread), then install the license using the new Zniffer tool or using some JavaScript (still trying to figure out that last part myself).

can anyone give me a hint, howto enable the aquired licenses ( LR+FC) without zniffer ?
a simple "http://XXXX:8083/ZWaveAPI/Run/zway.cont ... ongrange=1" or similar can't be enough .

was able to run the armhf version of radiotool over X11 forwarding to another machine ( the c2 is s headless one ),
but still no luck in the the expert menu in zway.

Zniffer should enable it. Then it should work in Z-Way. New Z-Way 4.0.0 (soon) will enable it too from the Controller Info page

I was never able to update the license with Zway (I think they are still working the bugs out), but it is pretty easy to do with Zniffer. On your Pi with the board installed, download the webserial tool from https://storage.z-wave.me/zniffer/lates ... yPi-armhf/. This lets you run the radio tool on another system that isn't headless to access the board. Fire up the webserial tool "sudo ./zme_webserial svc" on your Pi. Install the full Radio Tools app for Win or macOS from https://storage.z-wave.me/zniffer/latest/. Open up radio tools, then you can connect up to your Pi... /dev/ttyAMA0@YOUR_PI_IP:8998. Click the 'i' button and it will connect up and pull the license.
