RaZberry 7 Pro - Long Range

Post by N2641D »

Today I received a RaZberry 7 Pro device (US version) which I attached to a RASPI 4B. Using the Z-Wave Expert UI I'm unfortunately unable to switch to Long Range as it is not enabled (message: Long Range is not supported or not enabled in your hardrware). Switching the operating frequency to "US Long Range" creates the message: "Current frequency: unsupported".

Firmware version: v3.2.3
UI version: v1.13.5
Built date: 06-04-2022 02:42:33
Capabilities: slm

Can somebody please help?

Thanks.

You need the 4.0 release as discussed on this very forum.

Thank you for your quick reply!

Z-Wave Expert UI shows me:
The current firmware version is: 7.13 [Bootloader: 1766938484]

Is this the required version? If not, where can I download the version which supports Long Range?

It's not ready yet.
You need to update the RASBI 4B to z-way 4.0
https://razberry.z-wave.me/z-way-server/
And 7pro firmware update at the same time to the latest.

You can't do it now, have to wait a bit longer.

I see... Thanks for your update.

Are there any dates announced for that update?

Hello!

You can use the 4.0 release candidate form here: https://storage.z-wave.me/z-way-server/ (click on more for the RPi version to see 4.0.0 release candidate).

The official 4.0 release should by August.

Were you able to get this to work?

I’ve updated to the 4.0 RC and firmware to 7.28 on my raZberry 7.0 Pro. Under the Expert UI I am able to change the frequency to “US Long Range,” but under controller info it still has an X for Long Range support. Rebooting also reverts the frequency to US. What am I missing?

Starting from 7.28 to enable Long Range support you should explicitly activate it. This part is not fully added in the Z-Way. We can guide you how to enable it. First please take the uuid from the Controller info page (where the X is) and got here: https://z-wave.me/hardware-capabilities

Once you activate the free LR option, you will be able to add it in your hardware. Soon Z-Way will apply it automatically, but for now it is a had work. I'll guide you

Thanks, but when I go to that site it is blank for both my UUIDs (I have two raZberry 7s).
