it would be usefull to have a text box in zway device configuration which allows user to store device specifc configuration hints. or an additional field where you could place a link to documentation files or manuals.

Could this be achieved by adding an extra tag to ZDDX FIles?

ZDDX is a translation of the device manual into a Z-Way compatible format. There could be no user specific data in ZDDX unless you edit these XML files.
