I have both generations of the battery operated wall switches called WALLC.
Seems to be quite much confusion among users as well as Z-Wave software/hardware platform builders since they use some kind of generic name for these switches.
Would be good to know what the ACTUAl model names are for these 2 excellent but different switches.
Is the old generation called Z-Wave.ME WALLC-S
and the new generation (that can use Merten/Schneider Electric frames) called Z-Wave.ME WALLC-S2 or WALLC-2?
WALLC-S2 and the old WALL-C - actual model names?
Re: WALLC-S2 and the old WALL-C - actual model names?
WallC is our 3rd gen old device
WallC-S means Secure (5th gen replacement with Security)
WallC-C is same, but with controller functions too. So, Secure + Controller
WallC-2 refers to WallC-C in System55 compatible plastic.

Ahhh thanks for that. Perfect.
I thought my 4 WALLC-S that I bought a year ago were the old generation but they obviously are the 5th Gen with security.
I also now have 2 of the WALLC-2 controllers to test them with my Schneider Electric EXXACT series frames. Works fine!
And if I understand you correctly these WALLC-2:s are actually the same as WALLC-C, i.e. has controller capacity as well.
I just wish that you soon release paddles in other colours than just white.
Antracite pls (fits very good with back solid black glass frames.
