CT100 & Virtual Modes

I'm hoping someone can quickly clear this up for me as I'm still learning this product. I have a 2gig CT100 thermostat and it paired perfectly. I can see the following virtual devices created (pic attached). However here are the questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me ...

[1] How do we change modes (on/off/auto/heat/cool) ?
[2] How is this handled in the API ?
[3] Why do I have 2 temperature readings ?

Hey.. i stumbled on this thread today.. did you get an answer to your question?

The only thing I have found is that ZWave API /ZWave.zway/Run/devices[20].instances[0].commandClasses[64].Set(2) can be used to set the mode. Value passed to set is 0 - Off, 1 - Heat, 2 - Cool, 3 - Auto.
