Ecolink DWZWAVE2-ECO sensor stopped working

Sensor placed on a sliding glass door worked just fine for about two months, and suddenly stopped triggering alerts.
I can remove the cover, which triggers the tamper indicator (red light), cycle power by removing and reseating the battery. Z-Wave controller (Z-way) sees it just fine, can complete an interview, but beyond that no dice.
When the sensor breaks/restores contact with the magnet nothing happens. No state change, the light on the sensor doesn't blink, nothing.
Thoughts?
