WiDom Energy Driven Switch - can't include the device in the network

Post by Miklux »

Hi all,
I have a little problem... I'm trying to include an Energy Driven Switch (Widom) with my ZWave network.
I'm using a Raspberry with ZWay installed and the UZB connected and working properly (I have other devices, like Zuno working correctly).
The first problem is that in the WiDom products list, I do not see the Energy Driven Switch but only the ZWave double switch.
But some times ago I included the device with no problems and now is impossible.
Do you have some suggestion?

The software versione is the v3.2.3
The UI versione is v1.5.9

The serial api versione is the 5.26

Where is the problem?
Thank you in advance for your help or suggestion,
best regards,
Miklux

Hello!

What do you mean by "I do not see the Energy Driven Switch but only the ZWave double switch". Where do you see it?

"Impossible to include" means it is not included at all? Or it is not included as you expected? Please provide more details.

Hi Poltos, thank you for your reply.
In the Zway vendors page, I see the WiDom icon and if I click on it, in the products page I see only one device named "Z-Wave Double Switch".
If I select this device and try to add the device to my Z-wave network, the inclusion process do not works.
I tried also the inclusion using the option "Add new Z-Wave DEvice and identify it automatically" but also in this case the inclusion process do not works.

The vendor instructions decribes the inclusion process in this way:
the device supports the Network Wide Inclusion (NWI) and the Normal Inclusion

A single click on the B button starts the normal inclusion and after 2 seconds , if the controller do not start the normal inclusion, it will start the NWI.
I tried to follow this instructions but nothing appens. If i click in the "Start" button in the "Add new device" window, after some minute the ZWay shows the window "SmartHome UI - Warning" - "INCLUSION takes too long to start up"

Where is the problem? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Thank you for your attention,
best regards,
Miklux

Hi enbemokel,

in the expert menu the "Start Inclusion" button is disabled and only the "start exclusion" button is enabled.
Now I see that i require a license but I already entered and validated it.... maybe this is the problem?

It might be a license problem or a frequency issue.

Please show the log during inclusion. If there is just nothing appearing during the button clicks, check:
1) that device and controller frequencies are same
2) try to rest the device first
3) try to exclude the device first

Hi PoltoS,
another question:
in the Expert UI , in the Network>Control page, i read this:
Controller is secondary in the network. It can not add/remove devices to/from the network. Use your primary controller to add new devices and delete old.
Controller is in normal mode

What it means "is secondary in the network" ?
