Dear Z-Way team,
I am heavily using Amazon Alexa voice recognition to switch on lamps, to ask for the temperature (query temp sensor results) because it is more convenient and much faster to use voice interface instead of using a mobile phone app to look up things.
But what I am missing is the possibility to query using Alexa app the status of binary devices and binary dummy devices for example to find out if a window is closed or if a door is closed or to find out the status of flags that are implemented using dummy binary device.
It would boost my Alexa app usage significantly if this would work.

Re: Alexa interface app to query the status of binary devices
It seems like the better solution would be to use the Z-Way Docker under Home Assistant which does support a voice interface. They have their own as well as Alexa but you need Home Assistant Cloud.

Re: Alexa interface app to query the status of binary devices
Z-Way on Raspberry supports already Alexa voice interface and I use it quite often. As I wrote lamps can be switched and temp sensor values can be queried therefore no need to use something else. Only binary device status cannot be queried which is something I find useful.
