So, 2 of the 9 alarm PIRs in my home have been retrofitted with z-uno.

Working great!

I had some issues at one point that required me to "hardware reset" the z-unos via the "reset" button.

Since they are hidden inside the PIRs, its a bit of a pain in the ass (have to open the PIR, ladder, etc).

So question:

Is it possible at all to remotly reboot a zuno?

I was thinking that using the OTA firmware update to send over the bootloader would do the trick (even if its the same one), but did not know which file to send (there are about 6 in the bootloader folder). Will post this question in a seperate post.

You could enable verbose mode in arduino ide and look what file is used for burning the bootloader.

But not sure why you need this. Why do Z-Uno require a reboot? Was it accessible at that moment? May be we will do a native reboot in future.

I did not go too deep into it, but the issue I had was the z-uno was not communicating at all with my razberry.

Both ways : Channels sending signals AND razberry trying to get configuration options (eg: "GET" powerlevel). No communication at all.

So I pressed the reset button and it came back online no problem.

Although its possible that even if there was a way to send a "please reboot" signal to the z-uno, it would not have made it there anyways.

Anyways not a big deal, once I reset the z-uno, it came back online and has been for the last 18 hours.

So far my PIR upgrade is working great, this adds a great feature(s) to my openhab setup
