information for lack Z-wave Z-uno

Post by David31 »

Hello
I would like to use this module Z-uno but before the purchase, I still have an important question.
I would like to know if it is possible to program a function in the event of loss of Zwave signal (or jamming) of the Z-uno module.
My case:
I will make a siren Zwave with the controls to activate the siren and the light. But I would also like in case of radio jamming, a triggering of the siren.
Would it be possible to achieve this function easily?
I saw that there is a "power level" instruction but nothing more.

Thank you for your answers
Sorry for my bad english(french)

Hello!

Do you want Z-Uno to detect the jamming? No, this is not implemented. And what is jamming for you? You have to compare the background RSSI vs RSSI of pakets from controller.

Also usually people do that on controller side and send SMS on jamming. RaZberry do support all for that but you have to program a bit.

Hello

Thanks for your response.
It's possible to read the RSSI on the zuno?
I have an UZB1 and I don't have the jamming option.

No, Z-Uno do not provide RSSI.

In UZB in February we will release a new Z-Way s/w and new f/w (for UZB and RaZberry) to make this feature available

Maybe this problem can be solved on application level:
You can send something like an life beat signal from your master to the ZUNO (a bit which toggles) an check the time between these changes on the ZUNO.
In case of jamming, these signal should not be detected in the ZUNO any more an you can react in the correct way
