Hi there,

i Play around with a ZUno but have a question. Is it possible to change the product id to make it unique? Background is that the automation Software i use needs a Description file for every device and if i want to use the zuno with 2 different configurations i Need to difference between them.

Hello! The device ID is different for all Z-Wave modes in your network. May be you talk about product ID?

Yes! You are right. I mean product id!

It is same ;( we can not change it as it is registered in the Z-Wave Alliance database.

A good controller s/w should base fully on the device interview and not on templates. What is your controller?

It is a Razberry with openHab as software. Im currently checking zway with openhab.

Yes, OpenHAB is known for that problem - you need a template for each variant of Z-Uno. Z-Way have no such a problem, but not sure how Z-Way is binded to OpenHAB. Would be nice to get some feedback from you on that topic

What about version number? Can that be parametric and defined in the sketch.

That could make every implementation unique and thereby possible for Openhab to distinguish between different sketches.

Version number defines Z-Uno firmware version.

We will certainly make programmable product in future. We are thinking about this
