I have an espresso machine with 3 push/ on off switches (one is power, one is single shot and the third is a double shot). I would like to be able to turn/ push each one of those buttons individually. Using z-wave.. and smartthings. Can anyone lead me in the right direction to create something like this with Z-Uno or do I need to look for something else.

You need to look how buttons are wired and connect them to Z-Uno. May be using a relay or by generating 3 V from Z-Uno pin - depends on the button wiring.

Keep in mind that Smart Things require a driver for some combinations of channel types in Z-Uno
