We are ready for a beta test of the reworked Alexa skill. If you are eager to test it, please send your email in a PM or on support@z-wave.me. We are open to your feedback.

Hi Forum,

get informed that Alexa is back.
I tried it and it worked from the beginning, found all devices, very fast reaction in my first tests.
But, got a new user layla.amazon.com.......would be good to get this explained.
As I connect with a special user that I want to use for the skill.

Best regards
Nico

It is explained in the page that you need to log in as admin. Then a new user is created. In future we will add the possibility to log in with the existing user too

Hello! It is now out and released, you can use the official skill.

For example https://www.amazon.fr/Z-Wave-Me/dp/B0B9XZS943

Coolio.

Have now setup
It works, but alexa does complain after every action that it can't get the status of the thing (light or switch)

If it persists, please drop us a message on support@z-wave.me with the exact time of the event (with timezone) and your locale (US/DE/FR/IT/...). We will check it on the server.

Morning

It's happened again - I've just upgraded my z-way-server software to 3.2.2 and the devices within my Alexa app have become unresponsive.

I've removed and re-installed the Alexa skill, and confirmed that I can log in to the remote URL (https://find.z-wave.me) with my remote ID/login.. that works fine. Cagesale

The mobile app is reporting "!Hub is not connected" even though I can log in remotely from a browser, so I'm wondering if there's an arcane connection issue.

Can someone help?
That honestly sounds more like the remote service/auth side getting confused after the upgrade than Alexa itself breaking.

The big clue is the app saying Hub is not connected while browser remote access still works. I’ve had similar weirdness before where remote login technically worked but the device registration/token side silently broke until I re-linked everything and rebooted the box completely.

Would also not surprise me if 3.2.2 changed something with the remote API handshake and Alexa cached old info. Alexa integrations are notorious for randomly deciding your perfectly fine devices no longer exist lol.

At least you already confirmed find.z-wave.me works, so it doesn’t sound like total connectivity failure. More like one service thinks the hub exists and another one forgot it does.
