Upgraded UZB to 5.16 accidentally

Post by prozac »

I made a big mistake in the fw update window.
I accidentically pressed the 5.16 fw upgrade button instead the close button.
I don't know why I did it. But after restart the UZB is not listed in my Com Ports under Windows.
It seems to be listed as an unknown device, so I can not use the driver on it.

Is there any way to downgrade the stick? Perhaps under linux os?

It is my fault but perhaps we can get it alive together.

Thx in advance!

Please give more details. What have you pressed? We have removed 5.16 from the list of upgrades. So may be you have upgraded the bootloader. This is pretty safe.

What version was installed before?

Have you tried to re-plug it?

Unfortunatelly it is bricked ;( it is very hard to restore it and will require special programmer and breaking the enclosure.... Almost undoable...

Another user is trying to do that on RaZberry with our help. If he succeed, you can try to repeat. But that is not easy at all.

If you buy a new one, buy one w/o license and we send you a new license for free.

That is why it was marked as EXPERIMENTAL. Again, apologize. We have removed this f/w from the list.

Wow, another user managed to heal his RaZberry. A bit tricky, but doable.

In your case another file is required, but same process.

Congrats for getting the Razberry back to life.
Fortunately I ordered another UZB1 w/o license that I would have bought seperately cause the family needs the Controller.
You would do me a great flavour by giving me a license for free. Sorry for my damn mistake.
Do you need my Mail address for the license? Thanks in Advance.

After getting back on Track again perhaps i will try to get the the flashing done but i'm not experienced in such things ;)

have similar problem, but with Z-Uno - it became brick!
i didnt do nothing actually, last my manipulations was:
1. inject new script for multi-termometer sensors
2. turn off from USB
3. integrate it to Z-Wave network
4. and now when i want to modify little bit script, try to connect to PC, and "Unknown device" permanently

how can i fix that? can somebody help me?

try to reconnect usb, z-uno again start flushing green led
but in system device detect only as "Unknown device" and don't give possibility to update drivers
