ZME_UZB1: firmware download

I just noticed that there are UZB1 sticks with

Vers:5 Rev:1 ManufID:0115 ProductType:0400 ProductID:0001

and others with

Vers:5 Rev:2 ManufID:0115 ProductType:0400 ProductID:0001

Where can I download the new firmware to update my Rev:1 stick to Rev:2?

Edit: and is a changelog available about the changes between Rev:1 and Rev:2?

But there is no document which explains how to use the 'Firmware Update Tool'.

You can to use Z-Way to upgrade it. Just download and upgrade via Expert UI (Controller Info tab). It will give you this possibility without having license for Z-Way.

Is there a way to find out what the latest firmware version is for the ZMEEUZB1 and then how to get Expert UI to upgrade the firmware without a Z-Way license?

According to PC Controller it shows me:
Serial API: ControllerStaticLib, ver.6
Z-Wave device chip: ZW0500
Z-Wave device firmware: Z-Wave 6.02

Expert UI shows me:
SDK Version: 6.81.01
Serial API Version: 05.34

The current firmware version is: 5.34 [Bootloader: 40196]

Eventually I want to switch the frequency from EU to US (yes I know due to SAW filter the range will reduce but how do I do it as Expert UI doesn't give me US options?)

The Expert UI is part of Z-Way. You may just need the UZB Update tool

It should be the same as the old Razberry update tool and it was not 64-but capable.

RaZberry and UZB have Z-Wave chip on board. This chip serves Serial API to allow Z-Way software speak to Z-Wave network. This firmware can be upgraded from Z-Way software in Expert UI go to Network→Controller Info→Firmware upgrade or directly to IP:8083/expert/#/uzb or using a special tool (see manual for the tool).

You might still be able to use Z-Way to at least upgrade the firmware instead of using the tool though. You just need to ignore some warning and use the expert interface.

For reference I had a Z-Way instance with a UZB and never had a license. It was not controlling any Z-Wave devices and it was running as a VM and just pulling from five other Z-Way instances with Razberry boards and fed data in Home Assistant. The UZB was only used to remove the nagging that there was no Z-Wave controller. This silenced Z-Way that there was no controller and I never had any Z-Wave devices locally, so you should still then be able to use the Expert UI to update the firmware. You will probably need to use the token of all though

Thanks, very helpful. So it looks like I will need a linux machine to run the tool and I will have to figure out which firmware to downloading using the map of firmware for UZB (https://service.z-wave.me/expertui/uzb- ... graph.html)

The final question really is how do I force the frequency to change from EU to US? I see there's a shell script provided but this runs only in Linux. Is there a way do it through Windows?

I think Z-Way is the only way to use Windows. Not sure if the Expert interface wouldn't be shown without a license.

Yes it shows me that, but since my stick was originally for EU, it only gives me EU and related options, not US.

Coming back to the firmware update. I see that my stick is on firmware 5.34. I see from the interactive map that the latest version with the same bootloader is 5.39. I've tried to click on the nodes to get the possible firmware versions, downloaded them and tried to update them via Z-Way Expert UI http://localhost:8083/expert/#/uzb

The problem is that it never succeeds.

Then I saw here https://forum.z-wave.me/viewtopic.php?f ... are#p86965 and I tried to enter the access token `all` to see what possible options are available.

Now it only shows me an option to downgrade from 5.34 to 5.33 (which btw is not anywhere on the interactive map)

Is there any way to upgrade from 5.34 to 5.39?
