I installed a Linear WS15Z-1 switch this afternoon. I am able to include it in the network using the expert UI provided via the Razberry ZWave board.
But I cannot configure it, nor can I get it to act like a switch. In fact, about half the time Device Configuration shows it as "dead".
I've tried excluding and including it about ten times. The "interview" process doesn't complete. Sometimes it gets only a few steps done. Sometimes it gets all but one step done. It never gets them all done.
I am very new to Z Wave. Can someone suggest what this all means and how I go about getting this stupid switch to work?
Linear WS15Z-1 Frustration
Re: Linear WS15Z-1 Frustration
You should probably check your network.
It looks like there's a bad connectivity between RaZberry and the switch.
If they're far from each other, you'll probably need to buy a range extender.
For now, try to place RaZberry closer to your switch and see if the problem persists.

I'll try that. But, geez, it's less than 25 feet straight line distance. Admittedly through a garage wall, but still...

Thanx, pofs. It was a range problem -- moving the pi closer to the switch made it work properly.
Of course, that made it too far away from some other switches. But at least I know I installed the Linear correctly.
