Firmware update failed

Post by jmbwell »

I have attempted to update firmware, and my RaZberry is no longer responding.

I attempted the update through the Expert UI. There was a bootloader and a firmware update. I started with the bootloader update. After several minutes, the page refreshed and indicated that my stick had the latest firmware — and the firmware update was no longer shown. However, the module seemed unresponsive.

So I tried to find some troubleshooting info, and I found the ZMESerialUpdated utility. In order to check the current version of the bootloader and firmware, I ran this:

Code: Select all

./ZMESerialUpdater serialapi_uzbupdate -d /dev/ttyAMA0
And this is what it showed me:

Code: Select all

Those FFs and 255's look ominous.

Is my board bricked? Can I recover?

Thank you — after power-cycling the board, it works as expected.
