Question about upgrading

Hi,

I looking for information about what version order you must follow for maintain an upgraded system with all (old+new) features.

My production system is upgraded from 1.7.1 and i se differences between production (now 2.2.1) and a fresh installed system with 2.2.1 under configuration tab.

Have any one seen that kind of information?

You definitely should expect problems if you upgrade directly from 1.7.1 to 2.2.1. Also be aware that the backup files made with 1.7.1 IIRC can not be imported into v2.x releases.

Yes i know but what steps do you need to take t maintain funcions?
I think its many old installations that need to be upgraded and they need to be aware of this.

My production at razberry is small today so its not hard to reistall but when i leave my vera 2 and move it to razberry its going to be a lot larger and then i dont whant to make too big jumps i versions.

I believe it should work to go from 1.7.1 to 2.2.1 (or 2.2.2). But as the last resort just make a clean install and press Request All NIFs. anyway 1.7.1 had no automation, so you don't need to keep this part.
