Does anybody here have any experience with the "ZME Serial" board?
It came in just an ESD bag, nothing else in it... The only documentation that I can find about it is a one page PDF, which points to the Sigma Designs SDK and Sigma Designs Serial API... Luckily I did have an antenna laying around, so I should be able to have a go with it...
I'm in university, following a minor about IoT. For our main case we could order for a worth of about €200,- of hardware to work with... I choose the Razberry and a couple of Z-Uno's... But the teacher gave me this ZME Serial board as a temporary alternative to the Z-Uno...
Edit: I tried connecting it to an FTDI to at least get some response, but I realised it would be a better idea to connect it to a Raspberry Pi 3 with z-way-server, but it doesn't recognise the board...

Re: ZME Serial
This is a pretty old board. I would suggest to use RaZberry 2 instead.

Thanks for the info, I'll leave it for what it is than
I have the Razberry + 2 Z-Uno's, so at least I have something to work with...

Re: ZME Serial
Hi PoltoS,
This old board only use a 300-chipset, so I would not use it. My plan would be to use a RaZberry 2, but it is a little bit expensive and I don't need the licence for ZWay...
Are you aware of any other solution with just a UART-Interface?
BR,
Andreas.
are there plans for a newer version? I am currently looking for such a ZWave-module that can be connected to a system with just a serial UART-interface.PoltoS wrote:This is a pretty old board. I would suggest to use RaZberry 2 instead.

Re: ZME Serial
We have no plans to make a new serial board since RaZberry 2 is a serial borad. Yes, it includes the price of the s/w, but I'm sure it is worth to use it instead of third party s/w.
