I have a HSM02 door detector that does not work when I fixed the aluminum frame of my door !!
Aluminum it could disrupt the protocol Zwave ??

Definitely it can disrupt the Z-Wave radio signal! IIRC a similar question has been asked acouple of months ago. If the device has a secondary contact, you can place it a little bit away and connect a separate reed switch
