Release 2.0.8?

Post by A.Harrenberg »

Hi PoltoS,

how about the release 2.0.8?

Code: Select all

Z-Wave features:
- [2.0.7] Meter CC
- [2.0.7] Device Class legacу change in Sensor Binary channel for Fibaro HC2 support
- [2.0.8] User defined Configuration parameters
- [2.0.8] FLiRS with SwitchBinary CC (and corresponding Device Class)
- [ ] Security S2
- [ ] UserCode CC
- [ ] DoorLock CC
- [ ] Color Switch CC
- [ ] ThermostatMode/SetPoint

Hardware features:
- [2.0.7] IR-controller (learn + transmit)
- [2.0.8] Interrupts: GPT/ZEROX/INT1/INT0

Language and libraries:
- [2.0.7] Correct calibration of delayMicroseconds()
- [2.0.8] Debug reports on internal errors and stack overflow

Arduino IDE:
- [ ] Support of Arduino 1.6.12 or upper

Estimated delivery date:
- [2.0.7] mid Dec 2016
- [2.0.8] mid of Jan 2016
According to your roadmap the release was planned for mid of January. As there are some important updates and bugfixes announced (for me espacially the bug-fix for the digital pins 9-12 and the enhancedments/debugging for the internal stack) I am curious about the release date.

Are there some more items already planned for the future releases? You know, I am also interested in Security S2 and the support of a newer arduino environment.

In the roadmap the DoorLock CC is still open, but controlling a doorlock is already possible. Is this due to not updating the roadmap or due to planning to implement the class completly, so that the Z-Uno can act as a doorlock?

Best regards,
Andreas.

Btw.: I just ordered my third Z-Uno :ugeek:

I am also very much looking forward to release 2.0.8 which hopefully fixes the sleep mode problems...

We have a plan to make a test version by the end of this week. Finalizing interrupts (GPT, INT0/1, Zerox). Beside this a lot of small fixes.

Looks like FLiRS will be shifter to 2.0.9. As well as Config Parameters.

Yes, DoorLock is still marked as open since it is not controlled.

S2 have only started - still need time to work on it.

Glad to know that geeks like the toy ;) 2k more will soon hit the market! (including US and ANZ versions)

oh that is a pitty...

Any time schedule on this? I am currently quite busy and it will take me some time before I can start working on S2 implementation but my plan is to start in a few weeks...

By the way, what about the stack usage? Will there be some function or tool to "monitor" the stack usage? I still have the cheap RFID reader sitting here... I think I have to give up on porting the library, it will neven be possible to port the functions wíth the restriction on stack usage. I will have to re-implement the functions.

Will you update the roadmap with the upcoming releases and features?

Yeah, great toy, but stack and memory size is limited for larger and more complex functions. The ZWave-chip was not designed to do all of that. :D
Thinking of connecting the Z-uno to some Arduino or Maple to control a larger (touch?) display (3-5 inch) and control my heating system and security system with it. But I will start to try if I can get a 1.8 inch display to work.

Thanks for this toy,
Andreas.

Release 2.0.10/2.0.11 (Re: Release 2.0.8?)

Post by A.Harrenberg »

Hi PoltoS,

any plans to release 2.0.10 in the near future? According to the roadmap it was planned for May.

And what about 2.0.11 and S2 Security? From the list, S2 Security is not planned for 2.0.11. Is that still true? Any rough idea for the time schedule of S2?

Code: Select all

Z-Wave features:
- [2.0.10] User defined Configuration parameters
- [2.0.10] FLiRS with SwitchBinary CC (and corresponding Device Class)
- [ ] Security S2
- [ ] UserCode CC
- [ ] DoorLock CC
- [ ] Color Switch CC
- [ ] ThermostatMode/SetPoint

Hardware features:
- [2.0.10] Interrupts: wakeup on high level on INT1 (currently only low is supported)

Language and libraries:
- [2.0.11] Debug reports on internal errors and stack overflow

Arduino IDE:
- [2.0.10] Support of Arduino 1.8.5 or upper

Estimated delivery date:
- [2.0.10] May 2017
- [2.0.11] June 2017

Andreas.
