API in various app´s

Was checking few apps from z-way apps page, and noob as i am, what is API that some apps are asking for ?

Please be more specific about which App you mean. You can't expect us to dig through all the Apps and guess what you mean.

Yeah sorry, I thought it's in every app.. Weather underground weather asks it. It says it's not optional value, so it should be added?

The install screen of Maros Kollar's app Weather Underground gives you the github link to the API (interface) of the weatherservice:
