Hello,
I'm new to Z-uno. I am looking to create a waterproof temperature sensor for my pool and spa. I will be using the https://z-uno.z-wave.me/examples/multip ... e-sensors/ example as reference for my project.
I am creating an inventory of things I need to have, and the example page above lists the need to have "11 wires".
Can someone shed some light on which wires I need?
Thanks.
Which wires?
Re: Which wires?
That's the Red, Black and Green wires.
It's for the Solderless Prototype Breadboard.
Search ebay for 'jumper wires' to see what they are.
or search for 'solid core wire'.
You would be better off using 'Stripboard Veroboard' and soldering the wires.
It would be more reliable to use Veroboard.

Re: Which wires?
I would suggest to use waterproof DS18B20, connect them all in parallel (each has 3 wires, so you will get 3 beams) and solder 3 cables to those beams and the other side to the breadboard
Re: Which wires?
Thank you for your replies. I will search for "jumper wires" and "solid core wires". And yes, I plan to get the waterproof version of the DS18B20.
I assume I will not need to solder anything if I use the Z-Uno Shield sealed case?

Re: Which wires?
Z-Uno Shield sealed case !
You still need the 4.7 kΩ resistor as in the diagram.
You do not need any of the 11 wires. Unless you need to extend the length.
You can bunch up 3 (or 4) wires under each screw terminal on the z-uno shield.
As PoltoS said. But you are not going to use the breadboard, just wire directly to the Shield.
That should work.

Re: Which wires?
Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I will give that a shot.
Re: Which wires?
I will also make a pool temperature sensor but from fibaro window sensor, something like this guy:

but I want to print a special waterproof housing with Ds18b20 metal probe https://www.amazon.com/DS18B20-Digital- ... B07DH5MQKN

Re: Which wires?
4.7 kΩ is already on the Shield board - just connect wires! The Shield is prepared for DS18B20 on the 11 (OW) pin.
