Thanks giving this feedback. Helpful for others.
Just grabbed an old DanfossLC-014G0001 2.06 from the junk pile. Got it easily included on my test rig that runs tests with 5gen UZB1. I'll see wat it does in the coming days on the new hardware

Answering the original question, inclusion via a repeating node is possible if the repeating node supports NWI (network-wide inclusion) feature. If it is built on an old SDK, it is likely not supporting that.

I do have two Aeon Labs Extenders. According to the Expert UI they do support Network Wide Inclusion and Explorer Frames
Update: These extenders are part of my production network. The Danfoss LC is some 5 meters away from the controller on my test rig

But that is all the positive news. It is on a schedule where it switches at 08:00h from 15C to 20C. At 09:15 still "cold as ice". When checked again at 10:00 it was warm. I will monitor this for a few more days. And yes the battery has gone down from 100% to 84%. I always thought the Danish were so cautious about energy waste

My current production setup is 14 Danfoss thermostats and 2 Aeotec repeaters. The setup is, to say the best, very fragile, both due to Danfosses and RaZberry not working as it's supposed to (dropped out a repeater already). I predict the network to be dysfunctional after a week, but I will keep you posted.

And yes - Network Wide Inclusion is a lie. There's no NWI on Danfosses, even though they declare it.

Experimental setup on StellaZ thermostats runs just fine. So if you care about stable network - pick the Germans.
