Razberry and openremote on one device

Post by millmore »

I had planned on running razberry and openremote on one device to make a self contained control device. Openremote needs to run on a soft floating point distro because it needs java, but it seems that razberry needs hardware floating point. So the two are fundamentally incompatible? That seems a shame. Has anyone got a successful workaround?

Those instructions show how to modify the installation of a razberry so that it will work with openremote, but it isn't about installing openremote on the same raspberry pi. In fact the author notes that he has openremote installed on his NAS - a Synology DS212+. I'm trying to figure out how to get both on the same raspberry pi.

We installed both the Razberry and OR on a RaspberryPi using the hard float and java 8. All is working fine for now. We will continue to test and post our findings to the different groups.

OpenRemote-Raspberry installation page

This is the OpenRemote page that describes the installation of OpenRemote on Raspberry Pi:
http://www.openremote.org/display/docs/ ... spberry+Pi

I know that this user http://www.openremote.org/display/forum ... t-22414571 did run both OpenRemote and Razberry on the Raspberry Pi.

Hope this helps,
