Razberry version?

Post by SubnetMask »

How can I tell if I have the latest v5 module or a previous model? If I understand the tag on it properly, it has a build date of September 17, 2014 and it came from Quantum Wireless. Prior to ordering, I had read that the previous Gen3 units were out of stock everywhere and that all current orders would be the new Gen5 model.

It must be written on the chip itself, but it might be hard to read.

The easiest way is to look into expert UI under http://ip:8083/expert/#/network/controller (or For Experts > Controller Info in old blue UI). If Z-Wave Chip is "ZW0500", it is Gen5, otherwise it is Gen3.

I'm not quite sure, but September 17 is unlikely to be Gen5.

Well shoot. ZW0301. I guess PoltoS wasn't quite accurate when he said 'All selling it currently. Old 3rd gen are already out of stock, so only new will be available' two weeks ago. Oh well. Thanks for your reply.

Probably PoltoS meant that we're not shipping 3rd gen to resellers anymore, but we cannot tell if particular reseller has some old ones left. Or somebody might cancel order/return it to the shop, so it became available.
