No configuration file

Post by cpighin »

:) it is very likely that my question has already been addressed, but I could not find it ...

I'm learning to operate the only two devices that I have now with the help of the guide "The RaZberry Smart Home Controller" (file RaZberryEndUserManual20.pdf) and I found the following problem in the interface UI Expert:
for both of the device (Fibaro Motion Sensor and Fibaro Double Switch) in the Configuration tab I find the advise "No configuration file"

Given that in the /opt/z-way-server/ZDDX I found many configuration files, for example the "540-010f-0800-1001-03-03-43-02-04.xml" (is the Motion Sensor file?), what should I do to fix it?

After several attempts, I solved the problem :D

As a matter of fact I realized that the reason for the advise was the missed loading of the configuration file for both devices (and in fact I did not see even the image of each device).

I then proceeded to load the two .xml files via the interface Old Expert UI, tag Device Configuration, as follow:
- I clicked on the "Select Z-Wave Device Description Record",
- than the button "Select Device Description Record" was shown,
- then a drop down list was shown and
- I choose from the list the appropriate file for each device.

After that an image of the device was there and I read in the section Configuration data never seen before.

Than I checked in Expert UI, tag Configuration, and there wasn't any warning "No configuration file" as shown in the image of first post.

It is quite obvious ... but only for those who know how to do. Not for me, and I guess also for many others, in the absence of detailed guides :)

I hope my this post will help other beginners ;)

Claudio :)
