The device just failed to answer to the initial KEX Get. Looks like a device issue

This doesn't answer your question but something to think about. I never saw the advantage of the standalone repeaters. Most mains powered devices act as a repeater so a mesh network is created. The price of the repeater is the same as a main powered switch. So I would rather spend the money on a switch than a repeater. You get more for the money since you now have a Z-Wave switch to use. The repeater takes an electrical outlet, you could install a Z-Wave electrical outlet. There is also the plugin outlets as well.
