Hi!
First of all: My system (Z-Way v4.1.4) is running flawlessly at the moment, but I also want to be a litte bit more "future-proof" when z-wave.me comes to an end.
In expert mode it says, I have a new licence available, which probably enables long range and "Fast communications" (btw what's that?).
Can I savely apply this?
My RazBerry7Pro Firmware is version 7.28. Would you recommend to update it?

Re: Update recommendations
I came here because I got an error that the GPG signature had expired when trying to update and then found out the project is changing.
I'd too like some alternatives for the future.

Re: Update recommendations
My question is not about alternatives to z-way (which would probably be Home Assistant), but about the decision to update the firmware of my RazBerry7Pro, even though it works fine in my configuration, and what changes the new available license will bring. I don't want to break anything but I also want to get all possible improvements as long as they are available...
Does anyone here have experience with this?

Re: Update recommendations
If your setup is running flawlessly right now, I’d honestly be careful with updating just for the sake of updating. “If it ain’t broke…” and all thataLiEnHeAd wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 11:03Hi!

Still, firmware 7.28 is getting a bit old now. I’d probably read through the changelogs first and see if there were any reports from other RazBerry7Pro users before jumping in. The new license stuff should be safe to apply though, especially if it unlocks LR support and newer features.
And yeah, would also love to know what they mean by “Fast communications” because that description is pretty vague.
