Blackout resistant RaZberry
Blackout resistant RaZberry
I need a RaZberry that can survive power failure or simply being unplugged. Raspberry risks file system corruption if not properly shutdown from the terminal or GUI. The solution of choice seems to the IPE by NutCom, a Raspbian flavor with a read-only root filesystem. Have you tried IPE or do you have another solution for blackout resistance?
The RaZberry board have no
The RaZberry board have no problems at all if it is powered off. Just make sure not to unplug it from the Raspberry Pi board while powered, since this can damage both.
For Raspberry Pi you need to fina a way to make it survive, but this is out of the scope of RaZberry project.

IPE port works
I adapted IPE to allow installation and operation of RaZberry software with the read-only root filesystem. The combination meets device-grade requirement for power cycling. I assume this will have to be further adapted for v1.4. I've seen RC 1.4 in use on the OpenRemote forum. Is 1.4 available for test? When will it be released?
RC 1.4 installs on IPE
Thanks. RC 1.4 installs on IPE.
