Razberry & 2GIG Control Panel Security Interview
Razberry & 2GIG Control Panel Security Interview
Has anyone had success in completing the security interview process between a 2GIG control panel and the Razberry? I've attempted to re-include and exclude the Razberry numerous times with this panel with no success. Since the Razberry cannot communicate using a secure channel without the interview process being complete there is no way for me to fully recognize my door locks. I believe the issue lies on the 2GIG side since I've seen others successfully add door locks to their Razberry's.

Please show the inclusion log.
Most likely it is a device's fault, but we cannot completely rule out ZWay.
Recently we've discovered an undocumented "feature" of Security CC, which might give such an effect for some specific devices. Some rare secure devices do not respond to any security requests if the very first command received after inclusion was not security scheme request. We have already fixed it in development branch, but it is not yet released.
Also your device claims over-the-air firmware update functionality, so maybe you'd try updating it first.

Re: Razberry & 2GIG Control Panel Security Interview
The device I'm trying to get the security communication is the Razberry itself and the 2GIG control panel. I have no way of updating the 2GIG control panel's firmware, it's specific to the alarm company. As it is, I' have "unsupported" devices connected to it. I was lucky enough to be provided the proper codes to add z-wave devices to the control panel. I'm using the Razberry and the software as a secondary controller to automate my house as the alarm companies features are limited and in the cloud.
As for the inclusion log, do you want it in the state of re-inclusion or would you prefer me to exclude the Razberry and then include it again. I hope it isn't the latter since I've configured it quite extensively so far.
I attached the "re-inclusion" log file. I hope it provides some good information and all I would need is to update to the development version. The log starts right before the re-inclusion process.

Oh, I've misunderstood you. I've thought you're including the panel to RaZberry network.
Current public release (1.7.2) has some issues with being secure secondary controller. Because of ongoing certification, we've added/changed a lot of code specific for secondary controller, security and multichannel. Current development builds can successfully include zway-to-zway. I just don't know if we're going to publish it as a minor update (1.7.3, whatever), or wait until major 2.0 release.

OK, I may be inclined to upgrade to the latest development builds and test it out. The one thing I'm afraid of is that I would have to exclude Razberry from the controller. I would hate to have to set everything up again, but... if it works then it would be worth it.

Is the 2.0 code available on github?pofs wrote:Oh, I've misunderstood you. I've thought you're including the panel to RaZberry network.

Relax for now, they're our internal builds not released to public.islipfd19 wrote:OK, I may be inclined to upgrade to the latest development builds and test it out.
The code of Z-Way never was on GitHub.n0ahg wrote:Is the 2.0 code available on github?
Expert UI and HA are not yet adopted for 2.0. When it's done, they will be available.

I was referring to HA as that's where I'm doing most of my work. Thanks for the clarification.pofs wrote:The code of Z-Way never was on GitHub.n0ahg wrote:Is the 2.0 code available on github?

Who told you that? The firmware is not specific to the alarm company, and it is freely downloadable (google "2GIG firmware"). What is specific is what the alarm company supports via the alarm.com back end, and the pricing/plan offerings they make available to their customers.islipfd19 wrote:I have no way of updating the 2GIG control panel's firmware, it's specific to the alarm company. For example one alarm company may require a 36-60 month contract, and charges $50-$70 for zwave home automation (kwikset locks, tstat, switches), interior cameras, security with central station monitoring... and discourages/frowns upon customer adding their own sensors, equip, zwave gear.
while another requires no contract, and charges $27-$32 for zwave home automation (kwikset/Schlage/Yale locks, tstats, switch's, sirens), interior and exterior cameras, security with central station monitoring, GEO fence, Image sensors (2nd gen motion detectors with built in infared still cameras), energy metering, etc... and encourages/allows customers to DIY their own systems and add sensors, gear, zwave devices as they see fit.
Anyways, here is the 2GIG firmware downloads: http://www.2gigforum.com/threads/1-(Mir ... l-Firmware
