Inclusion impossible

Post by greenju »

Hello everybody,

I have some problem to include devices to my zwave network.
I'm running z-way-server on raspberry with the razberry controller. I try to include Fibaro FGS 221 modules
When I put the controller in inclusion mode (while checking z-way-server.log) nothing happen.
I am with the module on the same table than the R-Pi

I tried to exclude first the module, but without any positiv result. I also reset the module, the controller => same thing.
One of my friend tried successfuly to include one of my modules in his own network, so I thing they work.

The red LED is on when inclusion/exclusion mode is set.

The firmware is already in his last version (1.7.2)

which test can I do to find what is wrong?
Thanks for your attention

Are you sure your RaZberry and device using the same radio frequency? They might different between regions.
Placing device next to RaZberry might help, but still no guarantee (if frequency differs a lot).

Yes I'am,

I bought my devices in the same country (France) and it used to work before I left it unused for a while (about 6 months)
Then I replugged it and here I am

Ok, why won't you ask a friend of yours to try include your RaZberry into his network to be sure it is working? If it doesn't work, take a close look at RaZberry board itself if there's any visible physical damage to it.

Hum good suggestion, and ho to do this? By "transfering principal role to other controler"?

No, just reset the controller and press "(re)include myself into other network" ("set learn mode" in new ui), and include like an ordinary device on the other side

when reseting the controler I find the following in the z-way-server.log :

Code: Select all

SETDATA controller.data.isSUC = False
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.786] Job 0x05 (Get controller capabilities): success
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.788] Error returned from zway_fc_enable_suc(zway, TRUE, TRUE, NULL, NULL, NULL): Function class not supported by the hardware (-4)
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.789] Adding job: Set new SUC/SIS
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.790] Removing job: Get controller capabilities
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.829] SENDING (cb 0x01): ( 01 07 00 54 01 01 00 01 AD )
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.840] RECEIVED ACK
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.852] RECEIVED: ( 01 04 01 54 00 AE )
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.857] SENT ACK
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.859] Job 0x54 (Set new SUC/SIS): Failed
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.860] Job 0x54 (Set new SUC/SIS): fail
[2014-10-23 13:34:37.861] Removing job: Set new SUC/SIS
is it allright?

Ok, and inclusion in other network works.
And now I can include my devices, with my controller in the entire network.
Still investigating

It's okay, current firmware doesn't support SUC/SIS.
Now reset it once again (to make it forget it was included into other network) and try to exclude/include your device.
See if anything appears in the log after you entered inclusion mode.
