Like I said, it's obscured. From that photo you can, correctly, infer that it's probably on the leftmost four, but you can't see for sure.

It's not a big thing, but for a newbie it could be a show-stopper.

I've cycled the power. The LEDs on the adapter flickered a few times.

No change in the status messages though. Do I have a duff board? Is ttyAMA0 the correct tty device?

Just realised that I posted this in the wrong forum. Perhaps a mod could move it to the Razberry forum, please.

I've tried talking to it with minicom and still no joy. I reckon the board is broken so I'm sending it back.

Thanks for all the pointers.

OK, I got it working.
As a last resort, I used a stock razberry image and it worked, so the problem lay with the raspbmc image. It turned out that raspbmc starts a getty on ttyAMA0 using a conf file in /etc/init (rather than using inittab). I missed that until I grep'd the whole of /etc for ttyAMA0.
Removing the file removed the getty and z-way can now find the razberry board.

Once I've got this working properly, I'll write it all up.

Now I need to work out how to include the devices.

I have the same problem as you had: I have installed the z-way software on a raspbmc system, and the zwave module fails to load.

I renamed the /etc/init/ttyAMA0.conf file to ttyMA0.conf.old and rebooted, but still get the same error in the log.

Did you do anything not described in the thread, to get z-way+razberry to work on raspbmc?
