Can you provide log from server? Few lines from connection process. We will also update the app in a few days as it was released pretty buggy this time

Can you create new profile and make search in local network for the box? Are you sure your phone is in the same Wifi network? Or you are trying to connect via remote access?

Z-Way log will not help... we need tcpdump trace. But this is way more complicated.

I tried to connect to 192.168.178.46:8083 - but I get the error "Can't connect!"

can you connect from browser on the SAME phone? Can you make "tcpdump -w ff -ntl port 8083" and send us "ff" file. If possible, with connection from App and from the browser.

is it possible without root? I have a new Sony Z1 Compact and do not want to root ist.
Could you explain the steps?
