I have purchased Raspberry Pi and am going to purchase the Razberry. I am a newbie to Z-wave.
For Z-wave to work, a Z-wave controller software is required to run on the Raspberry Pi itself. What if I decide to change to other boards like Beagle or Intel Galileo? How can I still use the Razberry on these boards?

You can buy UZB stick made by z-wave.me in order to use USB port on your favorite platform.
In any case, Razberry uses just serial port pins on Raspberry board so you can make a simpe adapter for other boards.
You can check it for Cubitrack, as example https://www.domotiga.nl/projects/domoti ... e_RaZberry
