adding fibaro wall plug

Post by ms31 »

Hi all,

probably it is too late but I can not interview my fibaro wall plug on my raspberry pi 1 and z-wave bord. My fibaro motion sensor was unproblematic. I could include the wall plug directly after 3 times pressing the b-button ( the automatic procedure didn't work), but under configuration the wireless activitity shows - "Device seems to be dead". A force interviewe is working for the command class BASIC and CONFIGURATION. Maybe I need a step by step instruction. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Have you tried to exclude followed by an include of the device. Sometimes that helps

Hi Pz1,

Thanks for your help :). Yes, I first exclude the wall plug before I included the adapter. I reset the adapter as well.

I remember I had to bring my 2 devices pretty close ( a few meters) to the RaZberry to get it included. The device could be defective, which is not "uncommon" for Zwave devices if I read these forums. That being said, problems are more often communicated than successes ;)

Yes man,

probably you are right. I have sent the adapter back. By the way, I tested openhab on my Raspberry P1 and let me say it makes much more fun with a P2 in terms of let me say stability.

Thanks
Maik
