Are all ZDDX assignments done manually? If there is a clear choice, is the assignment made automatically as the device is included? If it is automatic, what parameters must match in order for the ZDDX assignment to be made automatically?
I am trying to include a Fibaro FGFS-101 but the ZDDX record has at least three entries that exist in the ZDDX database, but it doesn't recognize any of them when it is included.

ZDDX Assignment
Re: ZDDX Assignment
Z-Way does have some mechanism of automatic recognition which should have improved over time. My own experience is that the latest release candidates don't seem to work at all anymore.
The different ZDDX files are due to minor variants in released devices. These variants are apparantly not recognised by Z-Way. I have for example two Fibaro Universal sensors with two different version numbers. I have had lengthy discussions with Fibaro, but they were unable to tell the difference between the two device (They definitely do behave different!).
Afaik the present ZDDX database is maintained by a volunteer. I highly appreciate that, but I think this should be in the hands of the Z-Wave alliance as a core task. They've never bothered to answer emsils I sent about that topic.
