Is there a listing of compatible secondary controllers?

Post by muxman »

I've tried to add my GE 45600 Z-Wave Basic Handheld Remote as a secondary controller to my razberry but it never completes the interview. The razberry can see it but it cannot seem to successfully add it.

Is there a list anywhere of compatible secondary controllers so we can choose from that list instead of hit and miss purchases to find a compatible secondary controller?

Or is it better to use the razberry as a secondary controller? Will it be more successful using it that way instead? I would like for both my razberry and my GE remote to be able to switch devices on and off.

I have had problems with interviews completing for my thermostats.
I recommend after you add the device and the interview fails, using the expert ui, select the device and run each interview step manually. If you watch the debug window in e expert ui, you will see all queries slam the razberry, some finish, some stall. I think the network is not handling the sudden velocity in queries, but I could be wrong. Running each interview step one at a time always works for me with an interview fails. Let me know

Interview results will only affect usage of device capabilities, but will not affect controller function usage of your remote controller. The controller functions are handled on even lower level, so RaZberry software do not really see them.

As for interview problem, only logs of inclusion and screenshots can help to guess what happened. If it is an old remote, it might be it violates Z-Wave protocol and this results in interview unfinished. Unfortunatelly this happens with many old-old devices.
