z-way-mini-ui-master

Post by kayjay »

I got my razberry working yesterday and started to investigate the z-way-mini-ui-master. I spun Apache2 on my Pi and loaded the demon there. After pointing my Chrome browser at it and entering the Serve IP, User and Password I see this error in the browser console:

XMLHttpRequest cannot load %3MyIpAddress:8083/ZWaveAPI/Data/0. Cross origin requests are only supported for protocol schemes: http, data, chrome, chrome-extension, https, chrome-extension-resource.

Is this demo supposed to work or have I misunderstood something?

Thanks

For those interested I emailed this query to the Z-Wave.Me team and thought it best to share the reply in case it helps anyone else.

First of all, the %3 sign is certainly a problem - the URL should be valid.

Second, this project is a very very old demo - never tested for at least 1.5 years. To make it work you will also need to go into Z-Wave Binding and make Z-Wave API public.

If anyone has made their demo run I would be very grateful to know what exactly one needs to do. Running the demo and seeing how it works is the best and quickest way way to understand the rather complex API's

Thanks
