Hello Folks,
I've had some issues when first trying to use a WALL-C battery powered switch - but with latest z-way-version that I use everything works great.
I set it up to control 4 different scenes by pressing one of the buttons.
Works like a charm, for some weeks now.
I did not try to set up other operation modes than scene control, but I guess this will also work.
What I can say is that during setup I had one or two buttons set to scene control on raspberry and the others in the operation mode which was set out of the box. This means I also can verify that mixed operations n modes work.
I am writing this positive feedback as I remember one article stating problems with that device.

Can you specify which "Wall-C" you use? The thirde generation version? There are more types around.(viewtopic.php?f=3423&t=22681&p=60274&hilit=WallC#p60274)

Should be WallC-C then, as I have the option to configure it as controller as well. I will try to update this post with an actual series number when I find the time.
What I have done is the following configuration:
(Via expert configuration, e.g. reachable by IPadress:8083/expert and then hitting the tab "Configuration" in the top bar and selecting the corresponding device) - you might need to login first at IPadress:8083 before being able to access IPadress:8083/expert
No.1: Button 1&3 pair mode: separately
No.2: Button 2&4 pair mode: separately
No.11: Command to Control Group A: central scene to gateway
No.12: Command to Control Group B: central scene to gateway
No.13: Command to Control Group C: central scene to gateway
No.14: Command to Control Group D: central scene to gateway
Then you need to have the app called "Trap Events from remotes and sensors"
After configuration of above, I was able to create a if-->then app to switch a scene (in the configuration of the app at "if"-section under "filter by type" choose "Switch control/Scene (on only)".
I also was able to create a toggle button which toggles code devices of the type "binary switch" on and off, which in my case sends out an 433mHz signal that switches on and off my television, and lights and a window blind.
I know this might be basic and clear to anyone who has done this once, but I searched for this quite a while, this is why I write that so dedicatedly.
Is the question of type of wallc-switch answered good enough or should I check again what I do exactly have?

Well that is just fine. Thanks for that.
I do have a WallC-S that initially gave me problems, then worked fine for a couple of months, and now is problematic again. So I was curious about which device(s) you based your conclusions on.
